LÈGACY Hanoi Opens Its Doors, Bringing a New Wellness Escape to Vietnam’s Capital

Hanoi has welcomed a new addition to its hospitality scene with the opening of LÈGACY Hanoi – A Fusion Original. Combining Vietnamese-inspired design, wellness experiences and contemporary dining, the 218-room hotel offers travellers a fresh way to experience the capital. Located in the historic Ngoc Ha ward, the property overlooks Hanoi and West Lake. Its opening marks a new chapter for Fusion Hotel Group, known for its wellness-focused approach to hospitality across Southeast Asia.

The hotel celebrated its grand opening on 16 September 2026. Its concept draws on Hanoi’s history and cultural identity while introducing modern comforts, distinctive dining and spaces designed for relaxation. Christopher Hur, CEO of Fusion Hotel Group, said the intention was to create a destination connected to the character and heritage of Hanoi. The hotel also represents a significant collaboration between Fusion and its ownership partners. For visitors, LÈGACY Hanoi offers a base for exploring the city, alongside facilities that encourage guests to slow down and enjoy their time away.

Vietnamese Heritage Meets Contemporary Design

The hotel’s interiors draw inspiration from several recognisable elements of Vietnamese culture. These include the historic O Quan Chuong Gate, the Red River and the five-petal peach blossom, bringing local references into a contemporary setting. One of the first features guests encounter is a striking interpretation of the chim hac, or crane. The design depicts the bird gliding above the reception space, creating a distinctive centrepiece for the arrival experience.

Throughout the lobby, abstract patterns and textured finishes add further references to Vietnamese heritage. The overall look balances artistic details with a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy Sparkling Moments, a complimentary refreshments service in the main lobby. Designed to encourage conversation and social interaction, it adds a relaxed touch to the hotel experience. The result is a property that takes inspiration from its surroundings without relying solely on traditional design. Instead, cultural references appear throughout spaces intended for modern travellers.

Rooms and Serviced Apartments with City Views

LÈGACY Hanoi offers 218 rooms and serviced apartments across several floors. The accommodation includes 133 serviced apartments and 85 hotel rooms, catering to guests visiting for short stays or longer periods. Eight room types range from studios to one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Floor plans measure between 37 and 105 square metres, providing options for different travel needs.

Hotel accommodation includes 20 Original Rooms, 45 Deluxe Suites, five Premium Deluxe Suites and 15 Executive Suites. Rooms and suites feature private balconies framed by floor-to-ceiling windows, with twin or double-bed configurations available. A vintage record player and a selection of vinyl classics add a nostalgic detail to the guest experience. The serviced apartments feature a heritage-inspired palette, combining warm wood with indigo blue and terracotta accents. The rooms are positioned on higher floors, allowing natural light to enter while offering panoramic views across the city. For travellers who appreciate a little extra space, the apartment-style accommodation provides an alternative to a conventional hotel room.

YÊN Spa: A Place to Unwind

Wellness is central to the hotel’s identity, and YÊN Spa provides a dedicated space for rest and rejuvenation. Inspired by the Vietnamese word yên, meaning peace, the spa combines cultural influences with contemporary wellbeing practices. Its planned treatments include Vietnamese-inspired therapies, massages and beauty services.

Guests can also make use of an onsen-style facility featuring hot and cold pools, a sauna, steam room and relaxation lounge. These facilities offer a quieter counterpoint to the energy of Hanoi’s streets. Whether visitors are returning from a day of sightseeing or simply setting aside time for themselves, the spa adds another dimension to the hotel stay.

Dining Above the City

Food remains an important part of any visit to Hanoi, a city with a strong culinary identity. At LÈGACY Hanoi, dining takes place high above the streets, with the hotel’s principal restaurant and rooftop bar offering different ways to enjoy the skyline. Located on the 24th floor, MỘC LOFT is an all-day restaurant focused on the flavours of Northern Vietnam. Its menu reinterprets regional tastes through a modern fusion approach, bringing local culinary influences into a contemporary dining setting.

The elevated location offers sweeping views across the city, making the restaurant a setting for meals throughout the day. For drinks and evening gatherings, 24 Social and Terrace brings together mixology, music and an open-air rooftop atmosphere. The skyline provides a backdrop for sunset drinks and nights out above the capital. Together, the venues give guests options for relaxed dining, cocktails and socialising without leaving the hotel.

A Contemporary Take on Hanoi Hospitality

For General Manager Ngo Anh Doan, hospitality involves more than comfortable rooms and facilities. He believes a hotel should also create meaningful connections with its city and the people who shape it. His approach reflects the thinking behind LÈGACY Hanoi: contemporary creativity can complement tradition rather than replace it. This idea runs through the hotel’s design, wellness offering and dining concepts. The property joins a city whose appeal lies in its many contrasts. Historic streets and cultural landmarks sit alongside modern restaurants, cafés and new hospitality developments. LÈGACY Hanoi brings together several elements of that changing landscape within one address.
